House Plans by Daryl S. Rantis, Architect, Honored by Design Community

Daryl S. Rantis has been awarded “Best Of Houzz” by Houzz, the leading online sharing platform for home remodeling and design. Rantis, whose residential practice focuses on Craftsman style and organic forms influenced by the late architect Fay Jones, was chosen based on feedback from the more than 16 million monthly users of Houzz.
Architects and designers can pin photos of their conceptual and built designs for Houzz users to like and file into “ideabooks.” Rantis’s work includes 20 projects from several different states, including Oregon, North Carolina and Arkansas, among the places he’s licensed to practice.
The Best Of Houzz award is given in two categories: Customer Satisfaction and Design. Rantis won for Design because his homes and remodels were some of the most popular images on the site. One of his projects has been pinned more than 2,000 times. Houzz users, known as “Houzzers,” saved more than 230 million professional images of home interiors and exteriors to their personal ideabooks via the Houzz site last year.
“It’s been a great form of outreach to be on Houzz because users provide immediate feedback, almost daily,” Rantis says. “It’s also helped my clients find images that suit their tastes and budgets. For a designer, it’s more versatile than traditional forms of web communication, like a stand-alone website.”
On Houzz, homeowners can identify top-rated professionals like Rantis whose work matches their own aspirations for their home. Homeowners can interact with professionals by contacting them directly on the Houzz platform, asking questions about their work and reviewing their responses to questions from others in the Houzz community.
Liza Hausman, vice president of community for Houzz, says the site provides homeowners with the most comprehensive view of a home improvement professional on the web, empowering them to find and hire the right professional to execute their vision.
“We’re delighted to recognize Daryl among our ‘Best Of’ professionals for design,” she says. “Our community of homeowners and design enthusiasts are actively remodeling and decorating their homes.”
Winners receive a “Best Of Houzz 2014” badge on their profiles to help homeowners identify popular and top-rated professionals in every metro area on Houzz.
